Ogun Protesters Demand Immediate Release of Abducted Oyo School Pupils
Residents, students, and youth groups in Ogun State, on Monday, protested in Abeokuta, calling for the immediate release of pupils, students, and teachers kidnapped in Oyo State.
The protesters marched from Panseke to Okelewo, urging the Federal Government and security agencies to act swiftly.
The victims were abducted a fortnight ago by bandits, who invaded Community Grammar School, Baptist Nursery and Primary School, and L.A. Primary School in the Ahoro-Esiele/Yawota axis of Ogbomoso, Oriire Local Government Area, Oyo State.
Concerned citizens described the government's response as slow, stressing that the abducted children are too young to endure such traumatic conditions.
Similar protest is also going on in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Meanwhile, a delegation from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived Ogbomosho, Oyo State, on their way to Oriire LGA.
