The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has put 24 suspects on prosecution before the Federal High Court, Abuja, on charges of illegal lithium mining in Nasarawa State.

The NSCDC classified the 24 illegal miners to comprise of 15 Chinese and 9 Nigerians.

According to the NSCDC, the illegal miners were arrested on May 16 in Kokona Local Government Area for mining without lawful authority in a concession owned by TIMADIX Geomin Consult Ltd.
