Ogun State Government Prepared For 2015 Digitalization
Ahead of the 2015 deadline for digitalisation, Ogun State Government has declared it readiness to comply with the digitalization of all the broadcasting stations.
Governor Ibikunle Amosun, who made the disclosure in Abeokuta at the commissioning of a new digital studio at the new refurbished Ogun state Radio Station maintained that the step was part of the rebuilding mission of his administration.
Our correspondent reports that all the state owned broadcasting would be turn around in order to meet up with the deadline for the digitalization of all broadcasting stations in Nigeria, which is a few months away stressing that, this would ensure development in all areas.
The Governor commended the foresight of the founding fathers of the radio station noting that, his administration would leave no stone unturned towards harnessing the potentials of the station for socio-economic development of Ogun state.
He charged the management and staff of the station to continue to display dedication and commitment to duties saying, his government was determine to release more fund to ensure rapid development in all the state owned broadcasting stations.
While commending the giant strides of the state government, the General Manager of the Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation, Engineer Femi Awolana noted that the station was ready for the 2015 deadline of movement from analogue to digital transmission.
Also, a former Commissioner for information in the state, Niran Malaolu described the station as former radio station in Nigeria that has produced many ace broadcasters in the country.
