Troops Of 6 Brigade Arrest Suspects With Ak-47 Rifle In Taraba.

Troops of 6 Brigade Nigerian Army deployed at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Wukari have successfully dismantled an arm syndicate operating within the Southern part of Taraba State.
Two suspects were arrested, a 55 year old Buba Idi and 29 year old Isiyaka Yusufa. following credible intelligence on activities of the gunrunners at a settlement in Byepi Village along Tsukundi Road, in Wukari Local Government Area,
The Commander 6 Brigade Nigerian Army/Sector 3 OPWS, Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, who disclose this in state, commended the troops for their swift action and professionalism, noting that the operation is part of ongoing efforts by the Brigade to combat illegal arms proliferation and enhance security across the state.
According to the Brigadier General Uwa, during investigation, the suspects gave useful information leading to the recovery of following items: One (1) AK-47 Rifle, One (1) AK-47 Magazine, with sixteen (16) rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, One (1) Tecno mobile phone and One (1) Bajaj motorcycle.
Commander Uwa, says the two suspects in custody are currently undergoing preliminary investigation and assure that the brigade will ensure no criminal network have safe space to with its area of responsibility..
