UNIZIK management has suspended Prof. Ifeanyi Odinye, of the Chinese Studies Department, for 3 months on half salary for breaking university rules.

The school management made the decision because of a viral video relaying the Professor's encounter with a student, Chikamso Favour Okechukwu.
According to the school authorities, an investigative panel found that the Professor returned a phone seized during an examination to the student the same day, which violates regulations.
The panel postponed the sexual harassment and other allegations for further investigation.
