Presidential Support group, Tinubu Authentic Time for Grassroots Connect, in Oyo State, commenced mobilization of support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. The group expressed the need for continuity of the agenda of the president, urging the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State to consider zoning the 2027 Governorship ticket to Oke-Ogun.

At a press briefing in Abuja, National Coordinator of Tinubu Authentic Time for Grassroots Connect, Oladipo Musibau, said the decision to mobilize support for Tinubu, was reached after consultations with stakeholders and concerned citizens across Oyo State.

Musibau explained that the group, in collaboration with Concerned Oyo State Citizens, believe zoning the governorship outside Ibadan, particularly, to Oke-Ogun, would strengthen unity within the party and improve its chances in the 2027 elections.

He noted that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has controlled the state’s political structure for several years, adding that APC stakeholders are mobilising support across the geopolitical zones to return the state to progressive governance.

Musibau said the move would strengthen President Tinubu’s re-election prospects in Oyo State and position the APC for electoral victory in the state.

The group told the State APC leadership to consider the zoning arrangement as part of strategies to secure political stability and party success in the state.
