POLICING: FG On The Verge Of Repositioning Police Force
The minister of state of police affair Imam Sulaiman - Ibrahim has revealed that the Nigeria police force will soon undergo an all round reform to enhance security networking and delivery in the country.
The minister made this statement at the headquarters of Lagos State Police command in Ikeja during her maiden tour of police formation in the state.
Commending officers and men of the Lagos State Police command, the minister said President Bola Tinubu administration is not going to poised to effect an all round repositioning of the police force.
Speaking about the security situation in Zone 2 which comprises of Lagos and Ogun states, AIG Ali Muhammed commended doggedness and resilience of men and officers in the zone and assured the minister of continued steadfastness of the zone to uphold integrity of the police for the benefit of teeming populace in the area of jurisdiction.
Speaking earlier,the Lagos State acting commissioner of police welcomed the minister to Lagos state police command and called for intervention of the ministry in some key areas that could catalyse improvement in the formation and services of policing in the state.
