Pensioners Tasks Makinde on Demands of the Union

The Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Oyo State chapter has charged Governor Seyi Makinde on the need for harmonization of pension for retired workers in the state.

Leaders of the union, who spoke shortly after the emergence of the new executive council for the union in the state commended the present administration for giving priority to the welfare of retired workers in the state.

Correspondent Kunle Ojo reports that the Secretary of the Union, Comrade Olusegun Abatan noted that the advent of Makinde's administration brought great relief to members of the union adding that the Governor should also address other demands of the union contained in the memorandum of understanding by the two parties.

Also, the news chairman of the Union, Isiaka Abolade said the leadership of the union will continue to focus on well being of members and how to move the union forward.
