Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has on Monday, July 24, met with the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali; service chiefs and the executive governor of Borno state, Kassim Shettima, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, over Boko Haram’s renewed attacks in the north eastern states, especially in Borno.

Participants started arriving at the Vice President’s conference hall, at the Vice president's Wing of the State house, where the meeting began at 5pm.

Some of the service chiefs at the meeting include; the Chief of Defence Staff, Gabriel Olonisakin; Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai; Chief of Air Staff, Sodiq Abubakar while the Chief of Naval Staff was represented.

Other participants at the meeting include the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari;  Deputy Chief of Staff, Ade Ipaye, among others.

 It would be recalled that members of  the Boko Haram had recently begun regrouping in the north  east, attacking different short-targets in the region.
