The Arewa Youth Development Association is condemning the Arewa Youth Forum's vote of no confidence in Defence Minister General Christopher Gwabin Musa, calling it monumental stupidity and reckless betrayal. They say the forum's actions are an attention-seeking, shameless attack on a decorated General who's done his job professionally.

The association spokesman Albab Abdullah I says he believes General Musa is being targeted unfairly and is actually doing a good job coordinating security efforts. They point to his recent meeting with security chiefs to tackle rising insecurity as proof of his proactive leadership.

The group stresses that security isn't a game of politics, and criticizing the General in this way only helps the real enemies. They're calling on the Arewa Youth Forum to retract their statement and apologize to General Musa and the Armed Forces.

The Arewa Youth Development Association says it is standing firm behind General Musa and President Tinubu's efforts to tackle insecurity, urging others to reject this "dangerous precedent" and support genuine efforts to secure the North.
