International Human Right Commission promises collaboration with FG to fight insecurity
International Human Rights Commission, the Transnational Inter-gpverenttal Organisation declared it's readiness to support the Federal Government in fight insecurity and ensure peace in Nigeria.
 
 
It also promised continue to play pivotal role in advancing the future of the organization, fostering international collaborations, and providing strategic guidance on matters of global significance.
 
The Commission’s Ambassador-at-Large and Head of Diplomatic Mission in Nigeria, Ambassador Dr. Duru Hezekiah, in a statement issued and signed in Abuja also announced the Appointment of the Acting Director-General of the National Commission Against the Proliferation of Arms, Light Weapons and Pipeline Vandalism (NATCOM), Ambassador Adejare Nurundeen Adegbenro and President of the Association of Foreign Airlines and Representatives in Nigeria (AFARN), Dr. Kingsley Nwokoma as Commissioners with immediate effect.
 
Dr. Hezekiah reaffirmed the readiness of the organization to offer intergovernmental platforms for communications, observation missions, and participation in promoting the culture of peace in the discharge of their duties.
 
The Human Right organisation described the appointments as part of the fulfillment of the Secretary-General’s commitment to engendering initiatives on peace and security, democracy, human rights, development, and sustainable economic growth in Nigeria through the IHRC Europe-Africa Cooperation Agenda.
 
The International Human Right Commission further promised join forces with the stakeholders and institutions to facilitate a continental approach towards peace and security, democracy, human rights, development, and sustainable economic growth in Africa, where the human rights of people will be fully protected”, he hinted.
 
While urging the newly appointed Commissioners to be committed to the duties of their offices, he reaffirmed the readiness of the organization to offer intergovernmental platforms for communications, observation missions, and participation in promoting the culture of peace in the discharge of their duties.
