Imo police parade killers of catholic priest
The long arm of the law has finally caught up with the men, suspected to have killed a Catholic priest in the state.
The Imo state police command on Thursday, September 7, paraded the suspected killers of reverend father Cyriacus Onunkwo.
The arrest of the suspects comes in about seven days after the adoption and murdered of the catholic priest who came home for the burial arrangement of his late father. The arrested suspect admitted to have been his adopters.
The five man gang including a serving police officer was said to have kidnapped the priest at Banana junction in Olru local government area of Imo state.
Parading the suspects at the command headquarter in Owerri the Imo state capital, southeast Nigeria, the state commissioner of police, Ezieke, thank the members of the public for their cooperation which so far led to the success recorded.
When interrogated by journalists some of suspects confessed to the crime while given various role they played, but from all the account it was clearly indicated that the police officer among them played a significant role in the crime.
CP Ezike promise to arraign the suspects in court soonest for justice to take effect immediately.
