The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested 23 suspects linked to robbery, one chance scams, and other crimes, Commissioner of Police CP Olatunji Rilwan announced on Wednesday.

Reaffirming the command’s commitment to safeguarding residents, CP Rilwan highlighted recent successes in their intensified crackdown on crime within Abuja.

GALAXY TV reports that the Commissioner of Police FCT Command, attributed the success achieved so far to timely security information and the support of the people. He implored the criminal elements in the FCT to relocate or face the full wrath of the law.

During interrogation, the suspects admitted to posing as security personnel to defraud unsuspecting citizens across various FCT routes over the past two years.

A total of 23 suspects were arrested, with 23 exhibits including 13 vehicles recovered.

The commissioner used the opportunity to reassure members of the public of the command’s commitment to defeat crime in all its forms in the FCT
