The coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Eric Sékou Chelle, has commenced negotiation for salary review from $50,000 to $130,000 per month, with the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.  

Chelle, currently earning a monthly salary of $50,000, explained that the $130,000 per month earning will be disbursed to pay the salaries of the technical staff working with him.

The technical staff are not on the pay list of the NFF, but play significant roles in preparing the  Super Eagles for matches and competitions. 

According to Chelle, “When you talk about $130,000… it’s dollars. What people don’t know is that with African national teams I’ve worked with, I pay my technical staff myself. The request is to ensure the right conditions to do my job.”
