Uduaghan Laments Poor Funding For BRT Project
After several criticism by Delta residents on what they describe as the failed Bus Rapid Transit(BRT) project, the Delta state governor Dr. Emmanel Uduaghan has lamented that the problem with the project was as a result of the financial problems affecting the state.
He made the disclosure in Warri, while briefing journalists on the major challenges faced by his administration in actualizing its aims and objectives of finishing strong.
Addressing journalists, governor Uduaghan termed the sorry state of the BRT as unfortunate, and that the challenges was for the expansion of the roads.
Speaking on the indiscriminate dumping of refuse along major roads in Warri, governor Uduaghan stated that Warri streets are cleaner than before, and blame residents for dumping waste late into the night.
Meanwhile, when galaxy news visited the BRT project site, no contractor was seen at site as the project remained abandoned, except for slabs used to demarcate the road which is giving motorists
concern.
