Police Recover Head Of Beheaded Boy; Arrest Four For Killing

Barely one week after policemen attached to Owode Divisional police station arrested one Mamodu Bashir Ibrahim for beheading a two year old boy and have a carnal knowledge of her mother, the head of the boy has been recovered by the police in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.

It will‎ be recalled that the sad incident took place last week thursday at Ofada ,Mowe area, in Obafemi Owode Local Government of Ogun State when, Mamodu Bashir Ibrahim, who fled the scene immediately he perpetrated the evil act. Since his arrest, the suspect refused to disclose the where about of the head of the innocent boy.‎

Correspondent kunle ojo reports that the suspect on Tuesday took the investigation team from the Criminal investigation department of the command, to Mokola area of Ibadan Oyo State where the head was recovered in a bag in the bush.

Although, he has confessed to the crime but police sources said he is still keeping some information to himself as to those who sent him to get the commodity.

The police Public Relations Officer of the command, Dsp Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed the incident added that the command have some similar incident at hand and that one of them was being subjected to psychiatric test.
 
Adejobi, who cautioned residents of the state to refrain form taking law in their hands by maiming or killing suspects arrested for such offence said, the command would not condone jungle justice.

He assured the citizenry that the command would deal decisively with anyone caught with offence relating to ritual killing, according to the law of the land.
 
In a related development,the Police operatives attached to Adatan Division of the command , have arrested four suspects in connection to the killing of a suspected person of unsound mind known as Kazeem Akindele, at Kugba area Abeokuta for allegedly attempting to kidnap a lady of 19 year old.

The deceased, police sources said, was attacked by the suspects and other angry youths in the area who are at large presently.

Adejobi said efforts was on going for the arrest of the fleeing suspects who embarked on the jungle justice that led to the death of the mad man, while those arrested would appear in court at the conclusion of investigation by the police.
