Operatives of the Enugu State Police Command, in two intelligence-led operations, arrested 14 suspects linked cultists and other criminal activities in the state.

The PP|RO of the Command, Daniel Ndukwem in a statement, indicated that operatives of the Anti-Crime Sub-Unit of the Violent Crime Response Unit, acting through the confessional statement of one Peters Nwodo, stormed a bush at Eha-Amufu community and recovered two pistols and arrested 14 suspects in different locations.

The suspects are said to be notorious for terrorizing community residents and dispossessing unsuspecting residents of their personal belongings.

According to the police, all the 14 suspects and the Recovered pistols and pump action guns have been detained at the Isi-Uzo police station, awaiting prosecution.
