PDP Targets 2027 Elections To Bounce Back To Power
The People Democratic Party, at the opening session of the NWC inaugural meeting in Abuja, on Tuesday, expressed it has emerged stronger and more united after weathering internal and judicial challenges. The party expressed resilience and optimism to bounce back to power in the 2027 general elections.
The PDP National Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed, in a media interaction, described the party’s recent national convention as successful, producing competent leaders committed to repositioning the PDP.
He added that the process has been recognised by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, putting leadership disputes to rest.
He reaffirmed the PDP’s independence and readiness to reclaim power, warning against, what he called, false claims aimed at discrediting the party, and vowing legal action where necessary.
The PDP Chairman also commended security agencies for safeguarding party assets and ensuring the smooth operation of its leadership, noting that the National Working Committee has begun work with renewed focus and discipline.
Looking ahead, Mohammed said the PDP is repositioning to offer credible leadership and practical solutions, with a clear focus on the 2027 general elections, insisting the party is back and ready to lead.
