The leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Engr. Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso, has activated his structure in Kano State to wrest power from the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the buildup to the 2027 general elections. The NDC leader lubricates the structure with democracy values of equity, fairness, loyalty and competence requisite for cohesion and collective objectives. 

Kwankwaso presented Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo as Kano NDC Gubernatorial Candidate, and Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, Kano Central Senatorial District candidate, in the 2027 general elections.

According to Kwankwaso, "this decision was made in the spirit of equity, fairness, loyalty, and competence — values that remain central to our party and Kwankwasiyya’s progress and unity."

Kwankwaso, accordingly, declared:

I am delighted to announce that His Excellency, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo has been selected as our Kano NDC Gubernatorial Candidate for the upcoming elections.

Similarly, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna will contest for the Kano Central Senatorial Seat.

This decision was made in the spirit of equity, fairness, loyalty, and competence — values that remain central to our party and Kwankwasiyya’s progress and unity.
