Nigerian Workers Urged to Exercise Their Right To Vote
Nigerian workers have been charged to seize the opportunity provided by the 2015 general elections to express their power and say in the governance of the country.
The chairman of the Nigerian Labor Congress, NLC Dr. Bashir Olanrewaju gave the charge today in Ibadan in a chat with newsmen.
Dr. Olanrewaju said that Nigeria’s labor spectrum must come together to vote the candidates of their choice who will positively pursue the welfare of workers in the coming general elections at various elective levels.
With less than fifty days to the 2015 general polls, workers are known to form a very large proportion of the voters in the country and are being lobbied by prospective candidates for various elective posts for support. however, the leadership of the nations labour force have began to charge their members on the need to use their voting power to choose candidates who will work for their welfare when voted into office.
One of the leaders of labour in the country, Dr. Bashir Olanrewaju, the chairman of the Nigeria Labor Congress, NLC in Oyo state has charged workers to come out to vote in the coming election and expressed their support, without fear or favor, for the candidate of their choice.
Comrade Olanrewaju also described 2015 as a year of positive boom for workers across the country, urging workers to be committed to the course of justice in the country.
