Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has commended the military on the arrest of the commander of kidnappers, including 2 other members of a notorious kidnap gang responsible for the August 2 attack on St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Udi Local Government Area of the state.

Governor Ubah, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia, at the DSS headquarters in Enugu, said the Joint Operation by operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, and the military, led to the successful rescue of abducted victims as well as recovery of the ransom money, which was used as a bait.
