The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, a governorship aspirant, has deepened lobby of the Governing Advisory Council, GAC, for the All Progressives Congress, APC, ticket for the 2027 governorship election.

Hamzat devoted two days, in subsequence, for consultation with the GAC, and overtures for support in the governorship race.

The Deputy Governor said he had thoughtful conversations with the GAC about the future of Lagos and the kind of leadership it requires.

Hamzat emphasised that on day two, they remained focused on engaging widely, staying grounded, and working together to strengthen the state.

According to Hamzat, "Today, I began consultations with respected members of the Governance Advisory Council. We had honest, thoughtful conversations about the future of Lagos and the kind of leadership it requires.

"I value the experience and guidance shared. This is about listening, learning and working with others to build a stronger Lagos.

"Today, I continued consultations with members of the Governance Advisory Council and other key stakeholders. We had open and constructive discussions focused on where Lagos is headed.

"We remain focused on engaging widely, staying grounded, and working together to strengthen our state."
