Okowa Recycles Self, Plots Against Nwoko For APC Senatorial Ticket In Delta North
Former Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa of Delta State is recycling self back to the National Assembly after 8 years of being Governor of Delta State. Okowa is overtly plotting to displace incumbent Senator Ned Nwoko for the ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta North Senatorial District, in the 2027 general elections.
Okowa had indulged in political simulation to create the scenario of political leaders and stakeholders in Delta North endorsing him for senate in 2027.
Accordingly, Okowa feigned to have accepted endorsement by political leaders and stakeholders to contest the Delta North Senatorial District slot in the 2027 general elections.
The former governor, hosting over 50 political leaders from the nine local government areas in the Senatorial District at his residence in Asaba, was said to be under pressure from the visitors to contest the Delta North ticket against incumbent Senator Ned Nwoko.
Okowa was said to have assured residents of Delta North that with dedication and experience, he would work with stakeholders to deliver effective representation.
Meanwhile, Okowa was in the senate, from where he became Governor of Delta State, and he is now recycling himself back to the National Assembly. Leadership recycling may not be what the people want at this stage of democratic dispensation.
though, there is no evidence that the people of Anioma Nation have collectively spoken on endorsing Okowa for senate in 2027. He obviously would be relying on the governor for the APC ticket.
Ned Nwoko is perceived to have served the people of Anioma meritoriously. He has the record of sponsoring 50 bills and 20 resolutions in the senate in less than 3 years of his membership of the National Assembly.
Nwoko has also shown remarkable commitment to the creation of Anioma State.
