Benue ADC Affirms Elias As State Chairman
The leadership of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Benue State has reaffirmed Elias Adikwu as duly elected state chairman of the party. The party appealed to everyone to lay down their sword and work towards building a stronger and formidable opposition party to beat.
ADC State chairman, Elias Adikwu, expressed joy over the court victory on Tuesday after months of leadership struggles. He said the right things must now be done to win elections.
In a media interaction at the Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, in Makurdi, the ADC State Chairman and members of the State Executive Committee, SEC, highlighted the challenges of illegalities carried out by Chief Raph Okey Nwosu, founder and chairman of the party, the illegitimate emergence of senator David Mark-led caretaker Committee and NWC, among others. He said the leadership of the party in Benue respects the decision of INEC by not engaging in any congress activities in the state, and shall not participate in any pending directives from INEC and NEC, when it is constituted in due time. He declined to affirm the five suspended ADC members.
