Adeleke Cautions Against Political Violence, Visits Family Of Slain Victim In Esa-oke
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has cautioned against the surge of political violence in the state. The Governor paid condolence visit to the family of another victim of political violence, Rogba, who was killed last Tuesday at Esa-oke community, few days after the killing of a teenager in Ilobu Community,.
Governor Adeleke, who struggled to control his emotion, strongly appealed for the intervention of the Inspector General of Police over recurring killings and security threats in different parts of the state.
The wife of the victim explained that the deceased was shot about 4 times in her presence by some identifiable assailants, led by a youth leader in the community, known as Ladapo, who later fled the community alongside his family after the incident.
The lawmaker, representing the constituency, said the political rally planned to hold in the community was canceled as a result of the sad incident.
