Okpebholo Urges Edo Pilgrims To Be Good Ambassadors
Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has urged Edo State intending Pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the state as 95 Pilgrims prepare to depart for Saudi Arabia for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The governor gave the charge during a farewell ceremony held at the Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board office in Benin City, where Islamic clerics gathered to pray for a successful pilgrimage.
Governor Okpebholo, represented by the Secretary to the Edo State Government, Musa Ikhilor, called on the Pilgrims to sustain the good conduct of last year and pray for the state and nation at large.
The Chairman of the Edo State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Musa Mohammed, promised to show gratitude by being good ambassadors.
