Nigerian Students Leaders Visit Esinele, Yawota Communities, Oriire

Following Oriire pupils and teachers abductions in Ogbomosho, attack on Ogbomosho Immigration office, and kidnapping of former Minister of Power younger sister and her twin sons in Ibadan on Wednesday, the National Leadership of Nigerian Students have visited the Esinele and Yawota Communities, Oriire Local Government Area, to condole and have an on- the spot assessment.

The National President, NANS, Babatunde Akinteye, described the incident as unfortunate and barbaric, noting that poor protection of schools may negatively impact NELFUND initiative of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu government.

He called the southwest governors to form ties with the federal government against the growing insecurity threats, which when not addressed, may reduce socio-economic prosperity of Nigeria.

While the Public Relations officer of Oyo State Police, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, informed of deployment of tactical launch for rescue of the abductees, the Elesiele of Esiele, Oba Tajudeen Abioye, urged Governor Seyi Makinde and President Bola Tinubu to expedite actions for the rescue of the abducted pupils, teachers.
