Makinde Speaks To Protesters, Says Not Time To Trade Blames
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, on Tuesday, spoke to protesters in Ibadan, on the kidnap incidence in Oriire LGA.
The governor said that this is not the time to play politics.
According to him, "I'm personally concerned. My own father was a teacher..."
He said that This is the time to put together as one.
"We are not dealing with normal human beings. we are dealing with people... Just think briefly. How will somebody take a fellow human being and slaughter him..."
Governor Seyi Makinde, accordingly, declared, inter alia: “This is a time of national distress. It is not the time to trade blames, it is not the time for politics, and it is not the time to say it is the President, it is the Governor, or it is the Local Government that should have handled this. This is the time for us to come together as one, because we are not dealing with normal human beings.”
