The Adamawa State Police Command has initiated new measures to combat insecurity in the border state. The Commissioner of Police in Adamawa State, CP Dankombo Morris, evolved measures to the strengthen security apparatus of the state to ensure the safety of residents. The Commissioner, accordingly, convened a strategic high-level security meeting with Divisional Police Officers, Operational Commanders, Heads of Departments, and their supervisory Area Commanders.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Adamawa State Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, in a statement indicated that security meeting focused on strengthening the security architecture of Adamawa State, deepening intelligence sharing, and reinforcing coordinated efforts to protect lives and property across all parts of the state. The PPRO noted that the meeting reflected the Command’s understanding that effective security is the product of timely planning, collaboration, and teamwork.

The Commissioner of Police directed officers to be public-friendly, expressed readiness to provide the necessary supervisory support and backing required for officers to effectively discharge their constitutional responsibilities. This motivation underscores a delegation of responsibility built on trust, teamwork, and a shared resolve to keep communities safe and secure, the PPRO said.

In response to emerging security realities, particularly, the kidnapping incident at Pallam Community in Madagali Local Government Area, the meeting also addressed the deployment of more additional security personnel to Yolde-Pate, Sabon Hanya, Kofare-Agric, Ajiya Street, and Chinko in Yola South and Yola North Local Government Areas, Bariki sajo and Maigero communities in Song LGA, aimed at stabilizing the affected areas, preventing criminal activities, and restoring public confidence.
