Police Assure Of Protection Against Bandits In Benue
The Benue State Police Command has assured that it remained committed to professionalism, and discipline in the discharge of its duties, reassuring Benue people that the Command will ensure their safety and the protection of lives and property.
The State Commissioner of Police, Ifeanyi Emenari, marking 2026 National Police Day Celebration in Makurdi, assured of protection against bandits attacks in the state.
Over 300 police officers engaged in environmental sanitation exercise at modern market road, while a good number of them were on medical outreach to render service to residents of the surrounding community.
The Commissioner, Ifeanyi Emenari, addressing officers after a road rally at the Command's Headquarters, said the police will not relent on its oars to flush out criminal elements, particularly, bandits and other armed gangs terrorizing the people, from their hideout as all hands are on deck.
The Police Commissioner, noted that the police day celebration was made possible through the IGP, Tunde Disu. He said it is aimed at building public confidence, trust among citizens to enable the Police protect life and property.
The coordinator of the medical outreach said they hope to attend to hundreds of people as they are fully ready to offer services.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the leadership of the Police for bringing the medical outreach to their community.
