Police Arrest Crime Suspect Armed With Locally-Made Pistol In Lagos
The have arrested a crime suspect, identified as Dare Shogaolu ‘m’, aged 30, also known as “Super M”, who was armed with a locally made pistol in Lagos. The police arrested the suspect during a routine stop-and-search operation in Mushin, Lagos State.
The Lagos State Police Command narrated that on 5th March, 2026, at about 10:00pm, operatives of the Anti-Crime Patrol Team of Mushin Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, while on routine patrol along LUTH Road axis, Mushin, accosted a suspicious-looking man carrying a white and orange-yellow polythene bag.
According to the Command, searching the bag, the Police found one locally made pistol, including other items - one black leather purse, charms, and three pairs of slippers.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect has been involved in some criminal activities within the area and has allegedly been responsible for causing disturbances in the community.
The suspect is currently in Police custody while investigation is ongoing. Efforts are also being intensified to apprehend other members of his criminal gang.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, reiterated the Command’s commitment to proactive policing and the safety of all residents of the State. He urged members of the public to continue to support the Police with credible and timely information through the Command’s emergency lines.
