Ogun Govt Urges Muslims to Sustain Ramadan Virtues

The Ogun State Government has urged Muslims to sustain the spirit of devotion, charity, and good deeds observed during the holy month of Ramadan.

Governor Dapo Abiodun, represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Ganiyu Hamzat, made the call during the Eid prayer at the Lantoro Eid Ground in Abeokuta.

He stressed that acts of kindness, prayers, and generosity should continue beyond Ramadan as part of continuous worship.

Also speaking, former Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Ambassador Sarafa Ishola, called on Nigerians to uphold the values learnt during the fasting period and prayed for peace and prosperity in the country.

In his sermon, the Chief Imam of Egbaland, Sheikh Sa’addallah Bamigbola, urged people of all religions to remain sincere and committed, emphasizing the need to sustain lessons of obedience, love, forgiveness, and humility in daily life.
