Governors on the platform of the All progressives Congress APC say the ruling party will hold its National convention soon.

 Briefing State house correspondents after a closed door meeting with Acting President Yemi Osinbajo at the presidential villa,Abuja,Chairman of the progressives Governors' forum and Governor of Imo state Rochas Okorocha said the leadership of the APC is working hard to fortify the party ahead of future elections.

Okorocha dismissed speculations that the APC may not hold its convention without President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Imo state Governor who led his colleagues in the All progressives Congress to the meeting with the Acting president shortly after Thursday's National Economic council meeting told reporters that the ruling party is not threatened by the resolution of the PDP leadership crisis.

Galaxy TV Correspondent Nnabuchi Okey Nnabuchi reports that the meeting was well attended by members of the progressives Governors forum including Kaduna state Governor Nasir El-Rufai who has since been appointed to chair a Nine-member committee set up to articulate the ruling party's position on restructuring Nigeria.
