Lawmaker sues for attitudinal change to preserve environment
The Lagos State House of Assembly has appealed to residents to comply with the environmental laws of the state and embrace attitudinal change in order to preserve the environment.
The member representing Ikeja I constituency, Folajimi Lai Mohammed said this at a constituency stakeholders meeting which held simultaneously across the 40 constituencies in the state.
Folajimi says the stakeholders meeting involved communities in order to reorientate residents on how to handle environmental Challenges and rid the state of its recurrent waste challenges.
The lawmaker assures that the 9th assembly would continue to do everything possible to bring governance closer to the people in order to facilitate participatory governance.
The theme of the constituency stakeholders' meeting was tagged "ENVIRONMENTAL CHALLENGES: Community engagement to facilitate lasting solution".
