Commissioner of Police, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, has succeeded former CP Aina Adesola as the 24th commissioner of Police in Delta State Command.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Delta State Command, Asaba, Edafe Bright, in a statement, indicated that the new commissioner of Police has served the Nigeria Police Force in Various capacity, including operations, administration, investigation and training.

According to the PPRO, the new Police Commissioner is a highly accomplished senior police officer with over two decades of progressive service in the Nigeria Police Force, and renowned for discipline, strategic thinking and professionalism.

CP Oyeniyi had served as the commissioner of Police/Deputy head of Interpol National Central Bureau in Abuja, where he served until he was posted to Delta State as the 24th Commissioner of Police of the command.
