CNG Tasks Leaders on Justice, Security and Development

The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has mourned the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, urging leaders to reflect on the fleeting nature of life and the weight of public office.
In a statement by its National Coordinator, Comrade Jamilu Aliyu Charanchi, the group extended condolences to Buhari’s family, the Daura Emirate, Katsina State, the Federal Government, and Nigerians. It called on those in authority to renew their commitment to justice, security, development, and good governance.
Buhari, who died on Sunday in London after a prolonged illness, served as Nigeria’s Head of State from 1983 to 1985 and as elected president from 2015 to 2023. The CNG described his contributions as a lasting part of Nigeria’s history.
