APC Aims At Empowering Women In The Country

The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC has announced plans to introduce 2024 nationwide empowerment Initiative across the country.

National Women Leader of the Party, Mary Alile made the announcement while revealing the 2024 plans of Abdullahi Ganduje led administration of the party, for women and Youth, at an APC women New year event held in Abuja, Tuesday.

Alile stated that the Initiative is to uplift and transform the lives of all Nigerian Women.
She pledged the party’s resolve to work tirelessly to address the needs and aspirations of women and to ensure that no one is left behind.

The National Women Leader further disclosed that the party will also introduce the 774 Initiative, which seeks to amplify the voices of young women in politics.

While explaining the Initiative to be aimed at paving the way for a more diverse and representative political landscape, She identified major challenges being faced in advocating for women in politics, implementation of projects and programmes, and lack of adequate funding.

Alile noted that lack of funding hampers the ability to provide necessary training, mentorship and resources to young women interested in politics, thereby hindering their progress and limiting the impact of advocacy efforts.
