Protesters Resist Police Intimidation In Kaduna
Protesters agitating the kidnap of 37 Christians in ARIKO community in Kaduna State since 5th April, resisted intimidation by the police to disrupt the mass action.
The protesters declared that they were resolved, determined and refused to be silenced, in the protest of the intractable insecurity in their community.
According to them, "...at Katari in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, while we were having a peaceful protest for the release of the abducted 37 Christians from ARIKO community since 5th April, the police DPO of Katari tried to intimidate us.
"He tried to cajole us but we were resolute. We were determined. We refused to be silenced!"
They insisted on going to the police station, reiterating insistence in demanding accountability from the government.
