A group of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Abuja have protested against the planned arrest of Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye at his residence.

The IDPs from the new Kuchingoro Camp say the embattled Senator has been their main sponsor since arriving the Nigerian capital and as such will resist every attempt by security operatives to arrest him.

Galaxy’s Godfrey Obemeata reports that as at the time of filing this report police reinforcement have arrived the premises of the Maitama residence of Senator Melaye.
