The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, former Senate President David Mark, on the conclusion of the primaries, presented the ADC flag to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, as the party's presidential candidate in the buildup to the 2027 general elections.

Atiku Abubakar was declared the winner of the primary election with a total of 1,846,370 votes, defeating Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, former Minister of Transportation in the Buhari administration, who had 504,117 votes, Hayatudeen, who had 177,120 votes.
