Kogi State Governor Idris Wada was yesterday Tuesday discharged from the Cedarcrest Hospital, Abuja, after five days of treatment.

Reports says the Governor was discharged around 9am Tuesday morning.

The Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Mr. Jacob Edi, said Wada, who is presently in an unnamed residence in Abuja, would recuperate fully at home.

He said, “I can confirm that His Excellency has been discharged from the hospital and on doctor’s recommendation, he is taking a rest here in Abuja, Nigeria.

“He walked from his hospital bed on his legs into his car and came down from the car unaided. But the governor is taking a rest right now.”

Governor was involved in an auto crash when his car somersaulted several times while returning from a program at Anyingba on his way to Lokoja last Friday. The crash claimed the life of his adie-de-camp.
