Buhari returns from UK
President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to the country after he attended the Commonwealth heads of government conference in London, United Kingdom.
The discussions on Nigeria/ British relations with Prime Minister, Mrs Theresa May, prior to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meetings held between the18th and 20th April 2018.
The President also met the Chief Executive Officer of Royal Dutch Plc, Mr. Ben van Beurden in connection with Shell and other partners’ plan to invest $15b in Nigeria’s oil industry.
He also renewed discussions with the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Rev. and Rt. Hon. Justin Welby, a good friend of the President on inter-religious harmony in Nigeria and Worldwide.
The president also met with some prominent British and Nigerians residing in Britain.
Governor of IMO state, Rochas Okorocha and the senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, Mallam Shehu Garba reviewed highlights of the President's outing at the just concluded Commonwealth event.
Government officials who received the president on arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport on Saturday include the service chiefs and the minister of Federal capital territory.
