A frontline presidential aspirant on the platform of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, has dragged another aspirant, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, to the theatre of showmanship for the ADC ticket in the buildup to the 2027 general elections.

Amaechi has resisted and declined all entreaties and overtures for consensus presidential candidate in ADC.

All calculations were for the adoption of Atiku as ADC consensus presidential candidate for 2027. Amaechi vehemently opposed the initiative, except the party adopts him.

Amaechi insisted on every aspirant testing his popularity and influence at the primary election. He also reiterated his stance on zoning of the President in 2027 to the South.

Now, the Idea of March is here. The ADC holds its National Convention for the nomination of its presidential candidate on Monday.

Amaechi, Atiku and Hayatudeen will be proving their influence and political capital in the theatre of showmanship at the ADC primary election.
