UNIBEN Grants Waiver To 500 Students As 282 Bags First Class
The Vice-Chancellor, University of Benin, Prof. Lilian Salami, says no fewer than 500 students who had overstayed in the University were granted amnesty by the Senate of the University in other to give room for their graduation from the institution.
The Vice-Chancellor made this disclosure in a press briefing in Benin on Tuesday as part of activities to mark the 46th & 47th convocation, 51st Founders’ Day and Golden Jubilee celebration of the University.
Prof. Salami further disclosed that, as part of activities for the convocation, the University would be conferring Honorary Doctorate Degree on Lt. General Theophilus Danjuma retired, as well as former governor John Odigie-Oyegun among other dignitaries.
