A coordinated team of security operatives are on the trail of five of the eight worshippers kidnapped by bandits during invasion of Church Service in Kwara State. 

The Commissioner for Information in Kwara State, Bolanle Olukoju, had in a statement disclosed that three of the kidnapped worshippers had been rescued. 
The bandits were said to have stormed the Church, shooting sporadically.  

According to Olukoju, “The government commends the security agencies, forest guards and local vigilantes for their proactive response to the incident and the rescue of three of the eight victims.” 

The Commissioner of Police in Kwara, Adekimi Ojo, affirmed that a rescue operation was in progress, noting that joint patrols of police and military personnel were after the perpetrators.
