Renumeration: ABUTH Zaria Resident Doctors resume work
The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) Ahmadu bello teaching hospital branch has resume work on Tuesday after an emergency exco meeting which ordered its members to return to work following a 3-day warning strike.
Speaking to galaxytTV correspondent on phone Dr imrana sani abdullazeez says after an Extraordinary Executive Council meeting with management of the hospital who showed commitment to solving their demands they decide to call of the strike.
Recall that the NARD ABUTH branch on monday embarked on strike to press home its demands from the Government.
According Dr Imrana the major issues are payment of arrears of accoutrement allowance, where more than 60 percent of Federal Health Tertiary Institutions in the North West Zone commenced payment of, and paid a significant amount of these monies but ABUTH did not.
Other issues are; members on the GIFMIS platform were paid June 2024 salaries in percentages, yet they are being owed salary arrears from 2021. Non-implementation of the 25% CONMESS upward review to her members on the non-regular platform, and non-payment of arrears of the reviewed hazard allowance to its members on GIFMIS platform.
