Police parades suspects in Rivers
The Commissioner of Police in Rivers state, Zaki Ahmed has said that the deployment of personnel to black spots in the state is yielding results.
Ahmed disclosed this while parading suspects recently arrested for various criminal offences on his assumption of the office of the commissioner of Police in the state.
The Commissioner said fourteen suspected kidnappers were arrested while four others were killed during crossfire with the police.
The Police boss confirmed the arrest of one Sorbari who is said to be among those terrorizing Khana local government area of Rivers state.
Some of the paraded suspects including Sorbari spoke with journalist at the Police headquarters while a medical practitioner who escaped a kidnap attempt at Rumukwachi, narrated his ordeal.
However, the Rivers state commissioner of Police, urged members of the public to provide the command with credible information to help fight crime in the state.
