Police parade suspects in Bayelsa
In less than twenty four hours after the Assistant Inspector General of police in zone 5 comprising Delta, Edo and Bayelsa states read the riot act to the three police commissioners to rid their states of criminal elements.
The result has been a success story with the arrest of over eighty suspects within the eight local government areas of Bayelsa state.
Parading the suspects involved in various criminal offences ranging from kidnapping, armed robbery and teenagers arrested for unlawful conduct, the Bayelsa police commissioner spoke on the feat.
On his part, the father of two rescued kidnap victims narrated his ordeal while the suspected kidnappers which include a 35-yr-old man and his wife spoke on their involvement, while the police commissioner explains how they were apprehended.
Meanwhile, the rescued kidnap victims have since reunited with members of their family while the suspects will face prosecution after investigation according to the police.
