Police parade 36 suspects

The Imo state police command on Tuesday, June 27, paraded 36 suspects involve in different crime cases such as armed robbery, kidnapping, child trafficking and cultism.


While briefing journalists at the police command in Owerri, the state capital, the commissioner of police in the state, Chris Ezike attributed the achievement to the whistle blowing policy initiated by the Buhari –led administration.

Chris Ezike claimed the policy helped in apprehending the criminals.

The CP also called on the public to provide the command with useful information that will help them to carry out their lawful duties in reducing crime and it activities, to the barest minimum in the state.

Some of the suspects, Odinnaka Nna and Nwachineme Emmanuel who sustained various degrees of injuries, confessed to the crime, saying the untold hardship in the country forced them into criminality.

The commissioner of Police further called on members of the public to be vigilant and report any suspected criminal case to the nearest police station.
