Police Arrest Suspected Kidnappers in Delta, Recover Arms.

The Delta state police command says it has arrested a notorious suspected kidnapper who has been terrorizing Warri, Ughelli and parts of Port Harcourt the Rivers state capital
The command in a statement by its spokesperson Edafe Bright, said the CP special assignment team led by the commander ASP Julius Robinson were on the trail of some suspected kidnappers and extended their investigation to Rivers state which led to the arrest of the suspect named Chedeye Mohammed. The suspect was said to have led operatives to a bush after a trailer park in Rivers state where they hid their weapons, as one loaded AK 47 rifle with 7.62mm live ammunition was recovered.
Other recovered items include one pump action gun and an AK 47 rifle, as well as some ammunition were recovered from the suspect who is said to be helping in the investigation after he was sent to the police headquarters in Asaba after his arrest. The Delta police commissioner CP Olufemi Abaniwonda while commending his officers for their gallantry, promised Deltans that the command will sustain the tempo to ensure that the mandate given him by the inspector general of police is delivered.
